Hotel Vista Ostuni – Ostuni, the White City

At the prestigious five-star Hotel Vista Ostuni, created through the conservation-led restoration of the former Tobacco Factory, Isolmant UnderSpecial Classic 10 mm and Isolmant Fascia Perimetrale Pratica H15 cm  were used to ensure acoustic comfort throughout the hotel and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Selected by the Milan-based architectural firm RMA Roberto Murgia Architetto, the under-screed acoustic insulation system was installed over a total area of approximately 2,500 m², helping to improve insulation against impact and airborne noise and contributing to the silence, privacy and acoustic well-being of the hotel’s guests.

UnderSpecial Classic is a high-performance resilient layer made of Isolmant Special polyethylene, bonded on the underside to FIBTEC XF3, a special second-generation needle-punched fibre designed to optimise acoustic insulation performance. Combined with the perimeter strip, which isolates the screed from the walls and prevents the formation of acoustic bridges, the system meets the demanding comfort requirements of a luxury hospitality environment.

A focus on well-being and sustainability comes together in a project that has transformed a historic building into a five-star hotel, now part of The Leading Hotels of the World portfolio. The property is currently undergoing certification under the LEED BD+C: Hospitality environmental rating system, demonstrating a commitment that extends beyond guest comfort to embrace environmental sustainability. This commitment is further supported by Isolmant UnderSpecial Classic, which is REMADE IN ITALY certified, verifying the recycled material content of the product and its Made in Italy manufacturing supply chain, and complies with the sustainability criteria set out in the Italian Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for construction.
